Why this site exists
These pages explain, in general terms, how commercial asphalt is put together, the ways it comes apart in the Valley, and the order in which work on it is normally carried out. The site also introduces Phoenix-area owners and managers to an asphalt contractor working this metro.
This is background, not advice
None of it is engineering opinion, legal opinion, or any indication of how a particular reviewing body will treat a particular property. It describes how this sort of work usually proceeds.
Accessibility requirements, permitting practice and site conditions all differ, and the authority having jurisdiction is the only authority on its own rules. Do not put anything written here in place of an assessment of your own property, a survey, or advice from someone engaged on your project.
Why no figures appear anywhere
No page carries a price, and none should be read into anything here. What a job costs is settled by the contractor once they have walked the site.
Mistakes
These pages are written carefully and reviewed, but conditions move and errors happen. Point one out and it will be corrected.
Links elsewhere
Where this site sends you onward, that destination belongs to somebody else and its content is not ours to answer for.
